Thiruhrudhaya Sadanam Charitableis a residential home for the aged, the infirm, and mentally disabled peopledevoid of any discrimination of caste or creed.It was established on 31 July 2000 at Mookkannoor, around 6 km away from Angamaly.The institution was founded by Br. Jose Njaliath.As a registered institution under the Board of Control for Orphanages and Other Charitable Homes, it renders selfless service to the needy and downtrodden.Being a pure charitable institution, its runs with the expense that get from agricultural products, and with the benevolence of the local beneficiaries. Thiruhrudhaya is work for free admittence is given to aged destitute, irrespectaive of caste, creed, or sex and mentally ill person.

Old age is the law of the nature and an inevitable phase of human life. This Institution enables the aged and the mentally disabled inmates to face this stage courageously by providing necessary strength through proper physical, mental and spiritual guidance. At present, there are 30 inmates who find shelter beneath the roof of this institution. All of them are brought here from streets, by police, or by the social workers, and have to bring the recognition letter either from the prest, or from the local governmental authorities as Police officials, Panchayat President etc.
